Instructions and Help about Indiana letter of intent to homeschool

Hi everyone, this is Mike with Famine Time Fitness. Today, we are back with our next installment of our 50 states in 50 days, and we will be looking at the state of Indiana. I'm about to go to a coaching conference, so I wanted to start early today and get our video posted. Now, let's talk about the physical education requirements in the state of Indiana. In Indiana, the state requires students to take physical education from kindergarten through eighth grade. However, just like a few other states, it doesn't specify the number of minutes of physical education required each day. In high school, students are required to take physical education classes in order to graduate. The graduation requirement is to have 2 credits of physical education. All this information is publicly available for students enrolled in public schools. Interestingly, students who are educated at home in Indiana are exempt from following the curriculum and program requirements set for public schools. As a parent in Indiana, if you're educating your kids at home, you have the freedom to choose the curriculum and subjects they study. However, there are a couple of requirements. You need to ensure they have at least 180 days of instruction, and you must keep attendance records and maintain a record of the curriculum. Please note that this information is for informational purposes only and is based on my findings on the state of Indiana. As a homeschooler, there are no real requirements for physical education, but personally, I believe it makes the day easier if you ensure your kids are getting active and moving properly. I hope you find this information on the state of Indiana helpful. If you did, I would appreciate it if you would like and share this video with anyone you know. I'll be back tomorrow...
